Sharonda D. Hubbard has been serving the citizens of East Point as Ward A At-Large Councilwoman since 2010, representing the entire City. She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson on the East Point City Council Budget Committee. Councilwoman Hubbard has chaired the Human Resources Committee and the Council Municipal Utilities Task Force. She is committed to serving the citizens of East Point, and believes in leading with integrity and new ideas.
A champion for the underserved, Hubbard's support of this worthwhile cause has been demonstrated through her involvement in a variety of initiatives that include feeding the homeless, tutoring youth and sponsoring needy families during the holiday season. She has participated in Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless, Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Food Bank and Hands on Atlanta. Hubbard currently volunteers to serve East Point's Senior citizens by delivering meals through the "Meals on Wheels" program.
Born in Columbus, Georgia, Hubbard is the daughter of the late Patricia Hubbard. The family, including her brother Brandon, relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1983 when she was in elementary school. Hubbard received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University in 1995.
Councilwoman Hubbard is a Computer Network Engineer professional and the founder of Hedge Technologies, LLC., an East Point based information technology consulting firm. She is a devout member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.
